DomainDrift's metered API also speaks x402: agent micropayments in USDC on Base, one signature per request, no account. Call any /v1 endpoint with no key and you get an HTTP 402 whose body IS the price menu; an x402-aware client signs the payment authorization and retries automatically. We verify the authorization, settle it on Base, and serve the call once the payment has moved. Same signed data.
