Terms of Use - DomainDrift
DomainDrift is a DNS reconnaissance and signal scanning platform operated by DRM3 Labs Corp.
These terms supplement the general DRM3 Terms of Use, which apply to DomainDrift in full. Where these terms are silent, the general terms govern.
Product-Specific Terms
DomainDrift scans publicly available DNS records (A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, CNAME, SOA, CAA, SRV), WHOIS/RDAP data, TLS certificates, certificate transparency logs, robots.txt, and HTTP probe behavior. All scanned data originates from public sources. DomainDrift does not access private networks, authenticated services, or non-public infrastructure.
Access
The DomainDrift web UI requires a DRM3 account and a DomainDrift entitlement (DRM3 single sign-on). Programmatic API access requires an API key for rate limiting and access control. Service keys are associated with service identity; personal API keys minted by signed-in users are associated with that user's DRM3 account.
Scanned Data and Opt-Out
DNS records, WHOIS responses, and certificate transparency logs are public by nature. DomainDrift aggregates and indexes this data for intelligence purposes. Domain owners may request opt-out; an opted-out domain is deactivated in the catalog and blocked from re-addition while the opt-out stands (drm3.io/publisher-opt-out or support@drm3.io).
Provenance Receipts
DomainDrift generates cryptographic provenance receipts (content hashes and Ed25519 signatures) for each scan. These receipts attest to what was observed at a point in time. Provenance receipts are informational and do not constitute legal proof or certification of any kind.
Service Status
DomainDrift is under active development. Features, data coverage, and retention behavior may change, and the service may contain bugs.
Acceptable Use
Your use of DomainDrift is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms. It sets out what the service may not be used for, our right to investigate and suspend, and how to appeal a suspension. Paying for access does not create an exception to it: a payment buys a request the policy already permits.
Measurement
We measure how the website is used with our own first-party software. What is collected, how long it is kept, and how to turn it off are set out in the Cookie notice and the Privacy notice. We do not sell this data.
Monitoring and Alerts
DomainDrift monitors by scanning on a schedule, so there is a gap between when something changes and when a scan observes it. We do not guarantee that every change will be detected, that any alert will be generated or delivered, or that detection or delivery will happen within any particular time. Monitoring reduces the chance that a change goes unnoticed; it does not prevent domain expirations, outages, certificate lapses, DNS changes, or misdirected email. You remain responsible for renewing your domains, maintaining your own infrastructure, and acting on the information the service provides.
Plans, Billing and Cancellation
Paid DomainDrift plans are billed in advance for the period shown at checkout and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. The price, the billing period, and what the plan includes are shown at domaindrift.io/pricing before you subscribe.
You can cancel at any time from your DRM3 account. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep the plan through the end of the period you have already paid for, after which DomainDrift reverts to its registered base.
Tax
Prices are stated exclusive of any value added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), or sales tax that may apply to your purchase. DRM3 Labs Corp. is established in the United States and is currently registered to collect tax in no jurisdiction, so no such tax is calculated or added at checkout. If we become registered to collect tax in a jurisdiction that applies to you, the applicable tax will be shown separately from that date.
A business customer in a jurisdiction that operates a reverse charge is responsible for accounting for tax under that mechanism. Supplying a valid tax identification number at checkout lets us record the supply accordingly.
Credits
A DomainDrift plan carries its own included allowance. Separately, your DRM3 account can hold purchased DRM3 Credits: a prepaid entitlement to obtain services from DRM3 Labs Corp., redeemable across DRM3 services rather than against DomainDrift alone.
Credits can be redeemed against services that differ in their nature, in their place of supply, and in their tax treatment. Credits are therefore a multi-purpose voucher: issuing or transferring Credits is not itself a supply of services and does not create a tax point. Any VAT, GST or sales tax that becomes due does so on the actual supply, when Credits are redeemed for a service, determined by your location at that time and by the nature of that service.
Sections 18 and 19 of the general DRM3 Terms of Use govern billing, tax and Credits in full, including how Credits expire and the order in which allowances and purchased Credits are redeemed. This section summarises them for DomainDrift; where the two differ, the general terms govern.
No Warranty
DomainDrift is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
