What SecurityScorecard is good at
A widely adopted security ratings platform with an A-through-F letter grade that non-technical stakeholders read instantly, self-serve access to your own scorecard, and a large rated universe used across vendor risk and insurance workflows.
Choose it when: Teams that need a security posture summary a board or a customer can read without explanation, and continuous vendor-portfolio scoring at scale.
What DomainDrift adds
The evidence under the grade: a continuous, dated record of what a domain’s infrastructure actually was on each day, signed at the moment of observation and exportable as a bundle that verifies offline against published keys. A grade answers "how do they compare"; the record answers "what exactly was true, and when" - and it is the second question an auditor, an insurer or opposing counsel asks.
When to stay where you are
The letter grade is the deliverable your stakeholders want, or your vendor-risk workflow already runs on portfolio scoring. Scoring judgement and preserving observations are different jobs, and plenty of programmes need the grade.
