The free tier is a real product, the paid tiers raise the dials the meter actually enforces, and nothing on this page is a typed-in number: every limit here is read from the same functions that enforce it. Live prices are on Pricing - they come from the catalog, never from copy.

What is free

  • Keyless - the single-domain preview, one request every 15 seconds per IP, plus the analysis pages, the free tools, and public receipt resolution. No account at all.
  • A free account - the complete signed record for any domain, every list in full, point-in-time history, your own API key, watching one of your own domains in a domain group, and 3 DomainDrift credits every day (60 API requests), refreshed at 00:00 UTC.

Four axes, each enforced by the same engine that reads your plan: monitored domains (how many you can watch), domain groups, approved baselines, and daily API credits. Higher tiers raise the numbers; the product is the same everywhere. The current ladder with live prices is at Pricing.

The two kinds of credits

  • DomainDrift credits - the included daily allowance. App-scoped fuel: it refreshes at 00:00 UTC every day and does not roll over. An API request is 0.05 DomainDrift credits.
  • DRM3 credits - the balance you buy. It works in every DRM3 app and never expires. When a hard day outruns your daily allowance, requests meter from this balance, so a spike degrades into pay-as-you-go instead of an outage.

Reading your meter

You never have to guess where you stand: every metered response carries X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, and X-RateLimit-Reset; a 429 carries Retry-After; and a 402 names the limit you hit, your plan, and where to raise it - a destination, not a dead end. Your live usage is at GET /v1/usage and in the API console.

Agents and machine payment

Agents use the same door and the same meter. Where pay-per-call is enabled, a keyless call to a metered endpoint returns a 402 whose body is the price menu; where it is not, the answer is a free key. The current state is always stated honestly at the machine front door.
